About WATCH
Our association is a no-profit, neutral, global network of Cultural Heritage volunteer stakeholders and experts worldwide who joined with the main objectives to contribute to the safeguarding of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage and to develop an early detection system against the risks of destruction, vandalism, illicit trade, looting, pillaging before, during and after conflict. In other words, we try to contribute to foster the safeguarding of cultural Heritage according to the criteria set by the 1954 Hague Convention for the protection of cultural property in times of armed conflict and International law.
We are currently implementing several projects with support by the European Commission and other institutions and international organisations. Among them one very innovative initiative is WAR FREE WORLD HERITAGE LISTED CITIES and we wish to promote communication on this project and share experience with those who might be interested to be informed and ... why not? engage with us in future initiatives. |
